5 out of 5 stars Apex Roman Chair   September 6, 2010

I was worried when I saw the cheap price, and I ordered it with my fingers crossed. But the quality is good, it was easy to put together, sturdy, and stable. My girlfriend (5'4") and I (6'3") use it in our crossfit workouts without making adjustments for size. Great machine for sit ups and back/hip extentions.

5 out of 5 stars Gym-quality Roman Bench for under $100!   September 5, 2010

I always said that if there was a piece of equipment that I could have from the gym, it would be a hyper extension bench. At first I didn't even know its proper name, and then I assumed such a heavy piece of equipment would be too expensive to buy for home.

When I found this one, I left it on my wishlist. It looked like a good quality and the price was so much better than I imagined. Then I pulled a muscle in my back from overreaching, and I decided that my back health was so much better when I used one of these everyday.

This was easy to put together, and it is SO sturdy. Anything less could make these exercised less safe (like if it were lighter or wobbled). This is the quality of the one at the gym, the only exception being that theirs is welded where mine is bolted. I have already experienced so much improvement in my back, and I have gotten my money's worth because I use this everyday. The absolute only complaint I have is that because the bench level is fixed, it is a little tough for me at 5'4" tall to climb onto it. Not a big issue, I just thought both stems might adjust--probably more stable this way.

5 out of 5 stars purchased for lower back strengthening / stretching   September 3, 2010

I have lower back pain due to compressed discs. Chiropractic helps but doesn't really provide any stretching and strengthening of the lower back. This product allows you to hang straight down, bending at the waist which does give your lower back the ability to stretch. You can do sort of a reverse sit-up and strengthen those muscles. The product is perfect for what I needed.

The quality of construction is great. The model has a wide, stable footprint. Assembly was not too challenging - took maybe an hour to bolt everything together.
For the money this is a great buy - especially if you are like me and have lower back trouble that benefits from stretching muscles and compressed discs.

5 out of 5 stars Good Roman chair for the price   August 27, 2010

It's very solid and sturdy and I didn't have any problems assembling it. Nice powder coat finish. No missing pieces. Assembly instructions aren't the best out there, but they also were not difficult to follow. I wanted to get the Powerline which costs twice as much but I'm glad I went with this Apex instead as I'm more than happy with the quality for the cheaper price.
