Love the motion March 9, 2010 Cat Stevens (Indiana) Love the motion and the way it works, but the scan is cheaply made and doesn't work well. This scan is for distance, calories, etc. It isn't good. Might as well left it off the product. Mine doesn't even work. I do like the exercise tho.
Looking for an elliptical? Try this. March 9, 2010 Warren Z. (Long Island, NY) This is the exercise device for those who don't want to exercise. We get on it, we "walk" for 20 minutes, and we get off. An elliptical would be nice but are very expensive. Our treadmill wasn't being used at all. The Gazelle Edge gets us moving. We like it.
Mr. & Mrs Mullins March 5, 2010 Ray B. Mullins (Leesburg, Fl) It is exactly what we expected, as we have one at our summer home. It works much better for us than a tread mill or any other equipment we have used. Storage is absolutely no problem.
Not good for people already in shape March 4, 2010 Breanna Leibman I bought this product a few months ago and honestly I should have listened to some of the reviews. This does not give you a cardio workout if you are already in shape. It does however, work the leg muscles and keeps them toned. I needed for the winter and I will probally be getting rid of it.
The quaulty is poor as well. The clock that keeps track of distance etc., never worked from day 1. It is also ver noisy now and it has only been about 3 months.
This product is more for people who just need to get moving, not for those who consider themselves inshape. I don't think I have sweated once using it and I rev it up in attempt to make the workout worth it.
Love, love, love my Gazelle! Did I say I love it? March 3, 2010 L. M. Bullock (DFW) I can tell you I love mine and my comment is legitimate. Now I am just getting into exercise so I am a beginner but it gives me an amazing workout. I am at 254 pounds now and can say that when I started I was at 276. When I first used the machine I could barely last 5 mins, that is how out of shape I was. I can now use my machine for up to an 30 mins but it took me a while to work up to that. I have had my machine for years and stopped using it because I was lazy and stayed fat. I am now starting back to my routine and loving it once again. When I used my machine in the past I had gotten up to being able to workout for an hour and I hope to get back to that again. I don't like to go walk out by myself since I am female and don't feel comfortable on our local trails alone. I would love to have a nice treadmill again but don't have the money for that. So this was my compromise and it works great for me. It gives me a good workout and I do sweat and get my heart rate up. I say if you want something to get started and don't have much money this is the way to go. But that is just my opinion.
My feet do tend to move around and can be a little annoying but it is nothing that is so bad that would turn me off of the machine. I have had this machine now for 4 years and the back pad on the foot pedals are long gone but that is just for looks and does not have anything to do with the function. My machine works just as good today as the day that I bought it. I has started to squeak a little when I get to going really fast on it so I know I should I lubricate it but just haven't gotten around to it.
I also started working out with some free weights to increase my workouts and have added things like crunches, lunges, leg lifts etc. I have always hated exercise, hence why I am obese, but I am really starting to enjoy exercise again and I really do think the Gazelle has been a part of that.
As I said in the beginning I love my Gazelle and would highly recommend one to any beginner or low-level intermediate out there.
